PITTSBURGH'S HOTTEST 70'S & 80'S DISCO, FUNK & DANCE BAND

January 9th 1999, in the Pittsburgh area, a new act called "DANCING QUEEN" hit the club scene. Covering the best of 70's & 80's disco, funk and dance music, "DANCING QUEEN" had the look, attitude and excitement as if to throw you straight back to a 70's or early 80's live disco party! Since then, "DANCING QUEEN" has done over 1000 shows in more than 50 night clubs, private party venues, and outdoor events around the tri-state area. "DANCING QUEEN"  keeps stringing one song straight into the next while the music's pumping with up to 4 part harmony sailing above it all!

Bringing the golden age of American vocal harmony to performances from Radio City Music Hall to The Waldorf Astoria and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Pure Gold doo-wops their way through the decades, performing material from the 50s, 60s, and 70s, as well as a blend of blues, standards and original material to highlight their unique talents and range.

A cello rock powerhouse featuring three cellists and a drummer, Cello Fury's original music combines the symphonic sounds of the cello with driving rock beats. The band's cinematic, progressive rock sound appeals to a diverse audience throughout the United States and abroad. Cello Fury's multi-faceted approach to performing, which combines high-energy live shows, music education, workshops, and tours, has allowed the band to perform over 100 concerts yearly in venues ranging from classical music halls and rock clubs to schools and music festivals. As an independent band, Cello Fury has released three albums of original music, including "X" (2018), “Symphony of Shadows” (2013), and “Cello Fury” (2011).

A combination of technical difficulties and Emily needing to rest due to her eight and half months of pregnancy meant that our star presenter was unavailable.

While we are sad to bring you this news, we hope you'll join us in wishing Emily well as she prepares for her new little chef. Plans are in the works to showcase her talent for us in the spring - so keep your eyes open for future announcements.
