Nosferatu: A Symphony of Horror

March 4th, 2022 marked the 100th anniversary of the first horror film Nosferatu and to commemorate the anniversary, the Pittsburgh Silent Film Society commissioned Tom Roberts to compose a new score.

Nosferatu is the earliest adaptation of Bram Stoker’s Dracula and the film continues to disturb and inspire modern audiences with it’s beautiful cinematography coupled with the nightmare-ish images of Count Orlock.

There are countless parallels to our own post-pandemic world and the film continues to speak to us today.

Tom premiered his new score to two sold out audiences at the Harris Theater and the second show sold out in 15 minutes.

Here is your chance to experience Nosferatu
